Who is Adelheid?

Adelheid is a Scholar from the Seekers of Adoulin storyline. She is part of the coalition forces working to tame the wilds of the Ulbuka continent. As a Scholar, she has access to both healing and offensive magic, and unlike Cid (who stays in healing mode), Adelheid actually switches between the two depending on the situation.

Key Abilities

• Light Arts (healing mode) — When the party needs healing, Adelheid switches to Light Arts. In this mode she casts Cure spells to restore HP, Regen for gradual healing, and defensive buffs like Protect and Shell. Light Arts makes healing spells cheaper and faster.
• Dark Arts (offensive mode) — When the party is healthy, Adelheid switches to Dark Arts and starts casting offensive magic (nukes) to help kill enemies. Dark Arts makes attack spells cheaper and faster. This means she contributes damage when healing is not needed.
• Cure spells — Standard healing magic to restore HP to party members.
• Offensive magic — Elemental attack spells like Fire, Blizzard, and Thunder to deal damage to enemies.

When to Use Adelheid

Adelheid is the "jack of all trades" healer. She is a good pick when you want a healer who can also contribute some damage. Against easier enemies, she will spend a lot of time nuking, which speeds up kills. When things get dangerous, she switches back to healing.

The trade-off is that she is not as dedicated a healer as Nashmeira II or even Cid. Because she splits her time between healing and nuking, there can be moments where she is casting an offensive spell when you would rather she was healing. For tough fights where you need constant healing, a dedicated healer is safer.

She works well for farming and leveling where enemies die quickly and you do not need a full-time healer. Pair her with a tank trust and some damage dealers for smooth, fast clears of mid-difficulty content.
