Who is Babban?

Babban is a Mandragora, one of the small plant creatures iconic to the FFXI world. Encountered during the Seekers of Adoulin expansion, this tiny fighter joins your party as a Trust. Mandragoras are known for their adorable appearance and surprisingly scrappy fighting spirit.

Key Abilities

• Counter — Like other plant creatures, Babban can automatically strike back when hit by enemies. This gives him passive damage even when he is being targeted.
• Small Size — Babban is tiny compared to most Trusts. While this is mostly cosmetic, it makes him an entertaining party member to watch in action.
• Plant Creature Attacks — Mandragoras use headbutt and leaf-slap attacks. They are fast little fighters that dart around the battlefield.
• Creature Type — As a non-humanoid creature, Babban has limited compatibility with standard party buffs. Most songs, spells, and abilities designed for players may not affect him.

When to Use Babban

Babban is primarily a fun, novelty Trust. A tiny Mandragora fighting alongside you is one of the more entertaining sights in FFXI. His combat contribution is modest compared to dedicated melee Trusts like Zeid or Amchuchu. Pick him if you enjoy having a quirky party composition or if you are a Mandragora fan. For serious content, you will want a standard damage dealer instead.
