Who is Fablinix?

Fablinix is a Goblin Red Mage, making him one of the few non-humanoid trusts in the game. Goblins in Vana'diel are typically merchants, tinkerers, or enemies, so seeing one fight alongside you as an ally is a novelty. He hails from the Windurst questlines and brings a quirky personality to your party.

Key Abilities

• RDM Support Spells — Fablinix casts the standard Red Mage suite of buffs: Haste (attack speed up), Protect (physical defense), Shell (magic defense), and other support magic. He covers the basics that any Red Mage trust provides.
• Ranged Attacks — Unlike most Red Mage trusts who fight in melee, Fablinix prefers to attack from range. This keeps him out of harm's way somewhat, though it also means he contributes less direct damage than a melee-fighting RDM.

When to Use Fablinix

Honestly, Fablinix is not a top-tier support pick. Koru-Moru, King of Hearts, and even Ovjang all provide better or more complete support packages. However, Fablinix has charm. If you enjoy having a Goblin in your party for the sheer fun of it, he will still get the job done at a basic level. He is a perfectly fine trust for casual leveling and everyday content. Think of him as the "fun pick" rather than the "optimal pick."
