Who is Kayeel-Payeel?

Kayeel-Payeel is a Tarutaru Black Mage from Windurst, the nation famous for producing the finest mages in Vana'diel. Like many Tarutaru, he possesses natural magical talent and channels it into destructive elemental spells. He represents the classic Windurst tradition of arcane scholarship turned into battlefield power.

Key Abilities

• Elemental Nukes — Standard Black Mage offensive spells: Fire, Blizzard, Thunder, and their higher-tier versions. He stands at range and casts continuously.
• -ga Spells — Area-of-effect elemental spells for hitting groups of enemies. Useful for clearing packs of weaker monsters.
• Magic Burst — Times his spells to follow skillchains for bonus damage. This is where Black Mages deal their biggest numbers.
• Freeze/Burst/Quake — High-tier single-target nukes that deal massive damage to one enemy. These ancient magic spells are the biggest guns in a Black Mage's arsenal.

When to Use Kayeel-Payeel

Kayeel-Payeel is another solid Black Mage option in the Trust lineup. He fills the same role as Shantotto II and Ullegore: stand in the back and nuke things. His Set 5 placement means you might pick him up alongside other Set 5 Trusts. For a new player, any BLM Trust will teach you what magical damage dealers do. For veterans, he is a backup nuker when your preferred BLM is already summoned.
