Who is Lion II?

Lion II is the upgraded version of Lion, the Mithran tracker from Rise of the Zilart. She keeps the same Thief/marksmanship combat style as base Lion, but layers ninjutsu shadow magic on top — a Thief/Ninja hybrid that's far harder to kill than the base version.

When to Use Lion II

Lion II is a clear upgrade over base Lion in almost every situation — she keeps all of Lion's reactive Grapeshot interrupts and adds Utsusemi shadows for physical mitigation. The shadow layer dramatically reduces the healing burden on your party, especially against single-target physical enemies.

Note she is still a Thief, not a Ranger — she uses Marksmanship weapon skills (Grapeshot / Powder Keg) but her core combat behaviour is Thief-style aggressive melee with shadow backup.
