Who is Luzaf?

Luzaf is the legendary pirate king of Ephramad, a once-great maritime nation that was destroyed by the Empire of Aht Urhgan. Cursed to undeath centuries ago, he wanders the seas as an immortal ghost pirate seeking vengeance and redemption. He is one of the most important characters in the Treasures of Aht Urhgan storyline and carries a tragic, compelling history.

Key Abilities

• Phantom Roll — Just like Qultada, Luzaf rolls magical dice to give the whole party unique buffs that stack with every other buff in the game. Different rolls boost attack, magic, speed, and more. See the Qultada page for a full explanation of how Corsair rolls work.
• Quick Draw — Ranged magical attacks using elemental shots. These deal damage from a distance, giving Luzaf more offensive punch than the purely support-focused Qultada.
• Utsusemi (Shadow Images) — From his Ninja sub job, Luzaf can create shadow copies of himself that absorb incoming attacks. Each shadow absorbs one hit, then disappears. This makes him noticeably harder to kill than Qultada, since physical attacks will hit his shadows instead of him.

When to Use Luzaf

Use Luzaf when you want Corsair rolls (the unique stacking buffs) plus extra damage output and better survivability. His Ninja sub job shadows help him stay alive, and his Quick Draw attacks contribute real damage between rolls. If you want pure support, Qultada is slightly better at buffing. If you want a Corsair who also fights, Luzaf is your pick. Being in Set 1 also means he is one of the first trusts you can purchase with login points.
