Who is Maat?

Maat is the legendary old man who has tested countless adventurers at level 75 with his infamous Limit Break challenges. A master of all jobs, he is one of the most iconic NPCs in all of FFXI. As a trust, he mimics your current job's fighting style and brings decades of combat experience to the field.

Key Abilities

Hundred Fists — Dramatically increases attack speed for a short duration
Combo/Asuran Fists — Powerful hand-to-hand weapon skills
Chakra — Self-heal that restores HP based on VIT
Boost — Builds up attack power for the next strike

When to Use Maat

Maat is one of the easier trusts to obtain through Records of Eminence, making him a solid early-game melee option. His Hundred Fists provides excellent burst damage windows. He is a reliable damage dealer for general content, though specialized trusts may outperform him in harder fights.
