Support — Alchemist
Monberaux is the resident doctor of Upper Jeuno, a Hume physician who runs a clinic and treats adventurers and citizens alike. He is a well-known NPC that many players interact with during quests, and he brings his medical expertise to the battlefield as a trust. Instead of traditional magic, he uses alchemical mixtures to support the party.

Monberaux is a capable support trust with a wide toolkit. He immediately opens with Protect and Shell on every party member, then maintains Regen, STR boost, Magic DEF, and Magic ATK buffs throughout the fight. His healing covers three thresholds — 250, 500, and 700 HP potions by default, scaling up to 500, 1000, and 1400 HP at Tier III. He also restores MP when the party drops below 50%, and covers nearly every debuff in the game: Poison, Paralysis, Blindness, Silence, Plague, Petrification, Curse, Doom, and general erasable debuffs.
His main limitation is that he does not move — he stays exactly where he was summoned. Position him in a safe spot before engaging, or he will be left behind if the fight moves. He also never auto-attacks, so he contributes no direct damage. Status removal is single-target by default; AoE versions unlock through the in-game donation mechanic (gil donation sets the monbAoe CharVar). He is immune to sleep, which makes him reliable in fights that spam sleep AoE.
Unlike mages, Monberaux never runs out of healing. His abilities are mob skills, not MP-based spells — he has effectively no usable MP pool. No matter how long the fight lasts, he will keep throwing potions and removing debuffs without ever going dry.
He works well as a secondary support alongside a dedicated healer, covering buffs and debuff removal so your healer can focus on keeping HP topped off. At Tier III his potion heals are substantial enough to matter in most content.
