Who is Nashmeira II?

Nashmeira is the Empress of the Empire of Aht Urhgan, a central figure in the Treasures of Aht Urhgan storyline. Despite her royal status, she fights alongside adventurers to protect her people. The original Nashmeira trust was a melee hybrid who tried to do a bit of everything. Nashmeira II is her upgraded version, redesigned as a dedicated healer -- and she is widely considered the single best healer trust in the game.

Key Abilities

• Cure spells (Cure through Cure VI) — These are the bread-and-butter healing spells in FFXI. They restore HP (health points) to a party member. Higher tiers heal more HP but cost more MP (magic points, the resource used to cast spells).
• Afflatus Solace — A special White Mage mode that enhances all healing magic. When active, Cure spells become more powerful and also grant a small damage-absorbing shield to the person healed. Nashmeira II keeps this active, which is a big part of why she heals so well.
• Raise — Revives a fallen party member who has been knocked out (reduced to 0 HP). In FFXI, when you die you stay down until someone casts Raise on you or you choose to respawn at your home point. Having a trust with Raise means you can recover from mistakes without losing progress.
• Protect and Shell — Defensive buffs. Protect reduces physical damage taken, Shell reduces magic damage taken. She casts these on the party automatically.
• Haste — A buff that makes you attack faster and reduces spell recast times. Very valuable for damage dealers.

When to Use Nashmeira II

Always. Nashmeira II should be your go-to healer for virtually all content, especially anything difficult. She prioritizes healing above all else, responds quickly to damage, and her Afflatus Solace makes her Cures significantly stronger than other healer trusts. She also has Raise, so if you go down, she can bring you back.

For a typical party setup, summon Nashmeira II as your healer, then fill the remaining slots with a tank trust and damage dealers. She pairs well with any composition because she focuses entirely on keeping the party alive.

If you are still early in the game and do not have her yet, use Karaha-Baruha or Cid as a placeholder healer until you can afford Set 5 from the Login Points vendor.
