Who is Ovjang?

Ovjang is one of two automaton puppets that serve Empress Nashmeira of the Empire of Aht Urhgan. Along with his counterpart Mnejing, Ovjang accompanies Nashmeira throughout the Treasures of Aht Urhgan storyline. Despite being a mechanical puppet, he has a distinct personality and is fiercely loyal to the Empress.

Key Abilities

• Haste — Increases your attack speed by about 15%, letting you hit enemies faster and build up TP (Tactical Points) more quickly for weapon skills.
• Refresh — Gradually restores MP over time, keeping mage jobs topped off so they can keep casting.
• Nukes (Attack Magic) — Unlike pure support Red Mages, Ovjang also casts offensive spells to deal damage, making him a hybrid support/damage trust.

When to Use Ovjang

Ovjang shines when used as part of the "automaton trio" alongside Mnejing (who acts as a tank) and Nashmeira II (who acts as a healer). Together, these three trusts from the Aht Urhgan storyline form a self-contained party core that handles tanking, healing, and support all at once. If you want to run the trio, Ovjang is the support piece. On his own, Koru-Moru is generally a stronger pure support pick, but Ovjang's added offensive magic gives him a slight edge when you want a support who also contributes damage.
