Understanding Warrior

Warrior is the most straightforward melee job in FFXI. There is no magic, no stealth, no tricks — just raw physical combat. Warriors use abilities like Berserk and Aggressor to maximize their damage output, and Warcry to buff the party. They can use almost every type of weapon in the game, making them versatile. If you are brand new to FFXI, think of Warrior as the "basic fighter" class that every RPG has, but with some powerful self-buffs that make it more than just a beginner job.

When to Use Rongelouts

Rongelouts is a great choice when you want a melee DD that also supports the party. His Warcry boosts everyone's attack, which is especially valuable in parties with multiple melee damage dealers — each one benefits from the buff. He deals solid personal damage through Berserk and Aggressor, and the party-wide Warcry makes your entire group stronger. Pick him when you want a trust that pulls double duty as both a damage dealer and a party buffer.
