Who is Star Sibyl?

The Star Sibyl is the supreme leader of the Federation of Windurst, a wise and mysterious Tarutaru woman who guides her nation through visions granted by the stars. She is one of the most powerful and respected figures in all of Vana'diel. As a trust, she takes on the role of Geomancer, a job that creates magical auras to buff nearby allies.

Key Abilities

• Indi-Acumen (Magic Attack Boost Aura) — The Star Sibyl projects a magical aura around herself that increases the magic attack power of all nearby allies. If you or your trusts are within range, your offensive spells will hit harder. This is a "Geomancer aura," which means it works passively just by being near her. You do not need to do anything to benefit from it.
• Does Not Fight — The Star Sibyl will not attack enemies or cast offensive spells. She stands in place and provides her aura. This is important to understand: she takes up a trust slot but contributes zero damage on her own.
• Unkillable — She cannot be killed by enemies. You never need to worry about her dying and losing her buff.

Understanding Geomancer Auras

Geomancer is a job that creates area-of-effect magical fields called auras. These auras are centered on the Geomancer and affect everyone standing within a certain radius. Think of it like a Wi-Fi signal: if you are in range, you get the buff automatically. If you move too far away, you lose it. The Star Sibyl's aura boosts magic attack, which means spells like Fire, Blizzard, and Thunder will deal more damage.

When to Use Star Sibyl

Bring the Star Sibyl when you are running a magic-heavy party. If you play Black Mage, Scholar, or any job that relies on nuking (casting damage spells), her Acumen aura will noticeably boost your damage output. She pairs well with Moogle (who provides a Refresh aura for MP) to create a mage-friendly support duo. She is less useful for physical melee parties since her aura only boosts magic. Being in Set 1 makes her one of the earliest trusts available.
